Whether you are a professional speaker, or someone with an important story to tell, you never know who you will touch and how deeply you will move them. I received the following email from a woman who watched my presentation at the Mile Hi Church in Denver on January 17th.

I was very inspired with your message and delivery. One of my big challenges in life has been speaking up in public so I joined Toastmasters. I am now faced with giving an "inspirational" talk and it has triggered me beyond anything I could have imagined. I know it's the thought of sharing deeply from my heart in public. You do it with such courage and helped reinforce in me how that is what makes us memorable.

The other inspiration was your story about shaving your head. I was born without hair and have lived in a self-imposed prison my entire life because of this. At 51 years old, I am committed to revealing my light and setting myself free. Inspired by your story and the idea that we often make things a much bigger deal in our mind than they really are....I went to the rec center, took off my hair piece and proceeded to be vulnerable by going out to swim and play in the water for a few hours among a lot of people. What I discovered was that, although, the adults and the kids looked at me, they went right back to doing what they were doing like my bald head was no big deal.

It was the bravest thing I've ever done and I wanted to thank you for your inspiration. It wasn't a coincidence that the example you used in your talk was about shaving your head and going into your office bald.  I have felt a big shift inside myself since that experience and have definitely removed more of what has been covering the bright light inside of me.

Anyway, I wanted to thank you again for the blessing of your presence (at your talk) and for making a difference for me.
